Okay, these aren’t really frequently asked questions . . . since no one has asked them yet . . . I’m just trying to anticipate.

Why are you doing Inexpensive WordPress Websites?

I’m a PHP programmer. I’ve built some very large and expensive web sites. Quite often, though, I receive inquiries from people who can’t spend thousands of dollars for a customized design and for me to implement that customized design into a website. I end up turning these people away. This is the solution I’ve come up with to try to meet that need. You get a great entry level website with the guidance of professional web developer and programmer.

$499.00 still seems kind of steep. Why so much?

You can get a web site up and running for less than that, no doubt. You might even be able to get it for free. There are several advantages by doing it through Sweet Thursday Web Development.

• You get the guidance of a professional web developer. If you are running a business, you don’t want to put up an invisible or inferior website even if you can’t spend a lot of money. It’ll hurt you in the long run. I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen. This is my business. It’s what I do to make a living . . . full-time. This is not a hobby for me. I know what I’m doing.
• Your site will be search-engine friendly. You don’t want to be invisible on the web. Just because you have a website, doesn’t mean people will actually be able to find you. Your site needs to be coded correctly. I’ll make sure that happens. All my WordPress websites come loaded with a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) plugin, so even if you don’t know a thing about SEO, your site will be visible to search engines and I’ll give you some tips on how to enter content to help your rankings with the search engines.
• You get a nice design that you can tweak. These designs are generated randomly and then can be tweaked by you and me. You end up with a design you like. You don’t have to settle (in most cases) for design elements you don’t like in an overall design that you do. The site you are looking at now was created in just this way. I created the basic design in Artiseer, tweaked it until I was happy, exported it as WordPress theme and then tweaked it with both some PHP programming and CSS techniques.
• I’ll get WordPress all set up for you. There are some things that need to be done in the code and in the admin area that might take you a while to figure out. I’m a PHP programmer (WordPress is programmed in PHP). I’ve worked with WordPress for a number of years. Something that might take you a few hours takes me 10 minutes and you can spend your time entering content or writing your blog.
• I’m your resource. On the day we do this . . . I’m yours. All day. Questions, tweaks, concerns, you name it, I’m available.
• I’m your resource in the future. If your business takes off or you want new features I’ll be here to give you options on costs, my recommendations, etc. With WordPress and the Control Panel of your website you’ll be able to make additions to your website yourself if you want to take the time to learn how. You have lots of options!
• For hosting . . . I’ll handle all problems at no extra charge. I have a great hosting service that I use for your website. With hosting most of the time there are no problems, but when there are . . . I know how to get fast results.
• If you live in the San Diego area, I’m local. We’ll meet face-to-face. I’m a real, live, breathing person. I drink tea. I watch football. I laugh at jokes. I might even laugh at yours.

Have you used Artisteer for you own websites?

Yes, the site you are looking at now was designed using Artisteer. The WordPress Gallery page had to be specially programmed. There were a few minor tweaks needed once the WordPress files were exported from Artisteer.
