1. Choose a theme from our WordPress theme gallery.
2. Contact Sweet Thursday Web Development to discuss your project and set up a day to meet. Yes, that’s right! If you live in the San Diego area we will meet on the day that we begin your project at a coffee house to tweak your design to your specifications.If you don’t live in the area we can do this on your computer in real time. You’ll see my computer screen as I tweak your design to your specifications. Watch the Video»

3. I will set up your hosting and secure your domain name if necessary

On the day we meet, here’s the schedule:*

1. 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. We meet to tweak the web site design to your specifications. We’ll do this on a laptop in person or via an online meeting service (you’ll see my computer screen in your browser) and you will be able to direct me with any changes you want with your design.
2. 10:00 – 1:00 I will upload your site to the server and make any CSS tweaks that are necessary. I’ll add pages for you ready to receive your content. The site will be tested in all the major browsers.
3. We will speak on the phone while viewing the site. I’ll run you through the WordPress backend and show you it’s features and how to use it.
4. You can start adding your content and call me when you have any questions.
5. I’ll set up email accounts, change the DNS (if you already own your domain name) and be available for any questions or tweaks that you’d like to make.
6. We will wrap things up by 5:00 and you’ll have a great web site that you can add pages to whenever you want, keep your own blog and you’ll always have me for questions or if you need something else in the future.
7. Make your final payment of $249.00.

That’s it. You have a great web site and a web presence viewable by search engines. You can update it anytime you want (you don’t have to pay me or someone else to make text changes), you can add pages, add images, start your own blog and easily add available WordPress plugins. Enjoy!

What About Images?

You may need to have me purchase images (if you don’t have your own). High quality images for delivery on the web can be obtained for $1.00 to $3.00 each. I can direct you to a couple of places where you can create a lightbox for me and then I’ll purchase the images you want (adding that amount to your total bill) and then add them to your site.
